Theodore Roosevelt served as president of the United States for two terms in the early 1900s. He did good work for the country and is considered one of the greatest presidents of the United States of America. He was not a perfect president or man, but he held together the country as president.

My photo of this statue has imperfections like discoloration, cracks, and faded surfaces. I choose to include 2 angles intentionally without showing the full face to highlight these imperfections that exist, but do not control the object. By excluding the face, I feel that the statue can tell a broader story rather than one specific to this statuette. The imperfections that we face in our country should not control the way we perceive ourselves, just as the imperfections in this statuette do not control the entire piece.
