About This Journal

New England Classical Journal is a biannual, peer-reviewed journal that publishes articles, notes, and reviews on all aspects of classical antiquity. The journal welcomes contributions from those residing in any geographical area, and it aims to foster a process of peer-review that is timely and constructive. It aims to attract submissions from a diverse range of authors on a variety of subjects and to engage a broad audience that includes students, teachers, and all those interested in Classics. The journal is published by the Classical Association of New England; its first issue was published in 1973. As of its Fall 2019 issue, New England Classical Journal is now an Open Access publication and is published every October and May. New England Classical Journal has neither article processing charges nor submission charges. The journal is published on CrossWorks, the open access digital repository of the College of the Holy Cross, and, at Holy Cross, it is supported by the Classics Department, Holy Cross Libraries, and the J.D. Power Center for Liberal Arts in the World.
