Description

The Genealogy of Personhood

This project is a philosophical examination of the concept of the "person" as the nomen dignitatis and the foundation of human rights. Griffin maps a conceptual genealogy of human rights by employing personalist and phenomenological understanding of the human as person, drawing from Augustine of Hippo, Maximus the Confessor, and Edith Stein.
