Abstract
The mental health of first- year college students has a strong effect on their ability to transition smoothly and successfully to college (Young, C. C., & Calloway, S. J. (2015). For all students, the transition to college is stressful, filled with adjusting to new surroundings, schedules, and people. In addition to the social and environmental changes, college students are going through immense cognitive developments, specifically in their self-concept, self-esteem, and identity (Berk, 2023).
