The O'Callahan Society encourages and cultivates the traditions associated with the Jesuit, liberal arts education of military and naval officers. Formed in 2009, the Society traces its beginnings back to 1994 and the Joseph T. O'Callahan NROTC Scholarship Fund Committee.
The Society supports the viability of the NROTC Unit at the College. The Midshipmen Battalion is comprised of students from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and Worcester State University as well as Holy Cross. The Society promotes dialogue with these campus communities and recognizes the military service of alumni.
The Society is governed by a Board and Executive Committee as provided in its Charter and By Laws.
Society members include Navy and Marine Corps ROTC alumni of the College, alumni of the Air Force ROTC (formerly at Holy Cross, now at WPI), and veterans of all military services. The Society also includes non-alumni, friends, and family who support the activities of the Society.
