Abstract
Not many scholarly works are written on the meaning of life as it pertains to the Hispanic-Latino immigrant population. However, most Hispanic-Latino immigrants express that they immigrate in search of a better life. The longer that I have studied what the terms a meaningful life and a better life both entail, the more I have realized how different yet connected these two goals are. With the opportunity to expose the academic world to my people, I write about the paths they have taken in order to achieve both better lives and meaningful lives. Spoiler: it concludes with living the Ideal Life. By discussing with them through a series of interviews how they achieved both goals I aim to show how their narratives are not all sob stories as the academic world has written, within their struggles, there are narratives of not only strong and confident people but also stories of those who have found the beauty of life.
