The College of the Holy Cross student newspaper was established in February of 1925. Originally called the Tomahawk, the name was changed to the Crusader in February of 1955. The name was changed once again in 2018, to The Spire. The College of the Holy Cross Archives and Distinctive Collections is currently digitizing the student newspapers in order to make them available online. Dedicatory edition. This special edition of The Tomahawk commemorates "Oedipus Coloneus of Sophocles," a student presentation by the Greek Department of the College of the Holy Cross. This ambitious student project was undertaken on the occasion of the 400th anniversary of the founding of the Society of Jesus.
