Description

This catalog lists available courses for the 1941-1942 term. It also includes lists of faculty, enrolled students, officers of student clubs, schedules, award recipients, Commencement program and other information about the College of the Holy Cross.

Upon the United States entering World War II, the Board of Trustees of the College of the Holy Cross adapted the normal college program to wartime conditions. A flexible accelerated program was put in operation to advance the time of graduation for all undergraduates regularly enrolled. Under the accelerated program classes were in February 1943, November 1943, June 1944 and thereafter according to the date of admission. New classes were to be admitted in September and February each year. The regular academic year ran from the first week in September to the first week in July and was divided into three semesters so that entering classes could complete the college course in three years.
