This is a collection of oral interviews collected for an historical research project on the Polish-American community of Worcester, conducted as part of the Holy Cross Summer Research Program. The aim of this project was to answer how and why Polish identity changed in the face of Americanization in Worcester, while chronicling the experiences of the community’s members along with its trials and triumphs. This collection of interviews adds a human touch to the project, as its interviewees all lived, worked, and went to school in Worcester’s Polish-American community east of Kelley Square in the mid and late 20th century.
