Mongo Beti, théoricien de la décolonialité
Abstract
Decoloniality is a concept coined by Walter Mignolo to fight against the invasion of the euro-American imaginary in the rest of the world that Anibal Quijano calls coloniality. Thus designed by the Modernity/Coloniality/Decoloniality research group to answer the vast question raised by globalization to the universal consciousness ; questioning centered on the conditions for re-socialization and a new humanization, the theory of decoloniality is determined as a philosophy of liberation based on epistemic disobedience. It finds a favorable echo among many African novelist, particularly Mongo Beti whose writings are intended as a methodology of historical initiative which intends to analyze the major contradictions of an era and find the means to overcome them. This reflection attests that his thought unfolds as a subversion of the dominant discourse and his literary practice is a real catharsis of individual and collective consciousness. His ideological discourse is constructed as a fervent call for a more human rewrite of the history of mankind.
