Abstract
Fact-checking has become an increasingly important practice, especially with the birth of the internet and social media. In Tunisia, the context of the 2019 presidential and legislative elections saw the birth of the Tunisia Check News platform managed by the Independent High Authority for Audiovisual Communication, with the collaboration of the public media. In this article, we present the context of the emergence of this platform within the community of Tunisian journalists. After analyzing the content of the website and the Facebook page, we interviewed the coordinator of this platform, on July 16, 2019 to find out more about the insertion of this journalistic practice. This is a further reorganization of editorial boards, public and private media in Tunisia.
