La critique sociale dans le roman francophone

Abstract

Starting from the fact that the writer remains a man or a woman in front of the world, and that the literary work always supports, in some way, through its form and structure, a relation with the world, this article examines how the contemporary Congolese novelists represent the world in a context of neoliberal globalization. More precisely, it examines how Congo Inc. by In Koli Jean Bofane, Tram 83 by Mwanza Mujila and Généalogie d'une banalité by Sinzo Aanza perform the function of social criticism, that is to say of "uncovering" social pathologies generated by world capitalism.
