Abstract

In this essay, the author reflects on his experiences as a resident of Loyola Hall at the College of the Holy Cross, and the comraderie that formed between those who lived on the basement floor. The self-described "Black hallway" was seen by Black male students as a special niche on a campus where Blacks made up less than ten percent of the student population.
