Description
On June 23, 2016 the British public voted in a referendum (by the slimmest of margins, 51.9% to 48.1%) in support of the United Kingdom leaving the European Union. The vote has been an earthquake for British and European politics and raises profound questions about the future of European integration and the United Kingdom’s place in the world. We will explore the forces that shaped the British vote and take stock of the ongoing negotiations to probe the likely paths forward for the European Union and the United Kingdom.
