Description

While polling is everywhere during an election cycle, it also informs policy and business decisions. The guiding principle of polling is to answer questions about the population using a representative sample. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to ensure a representative sample in practice and, even under ideal conditions, polls can be wrong. This class explores the science of polling, its many applications, and an analysis of the current polls for the 2016 presidential election.
